Sierra Erickson

My name is Sierra Erickson, I am a free spirit, gypsy soul. I’ve been an artist for as long as I have been able to use my hands. I am inspired by nature, to create art from the heArt, everything I create is made with love, and good intention. I love to travel, meet new people and experience all life has to offer. I love to learn; I learn best from hands-on experiences. I enjoy dancing in the rain, listening to a fire speak, being on or near the water, hands in the dirt, barefoot letting my body ground. I am in awe of the elements and the beautiful canvas that Mother Nature paints.

I enjoy working and experimenting with many different mediums, most of which are up-cycled or repurposed in some way, shape or form; leather and feathers, stones and bones, repurposed fabrics, wood, paints, and plants. As of lately I have been creating these whimsical up-cycled Katwise inspired sweater coats. I have decided to call them dream coats because I often go into a dream state while creating them and many times I will start a dream coat and that night I will dream of how the fabrics want to come together.  I love seeing the coats come alive, unique and one of a kind. They each have their own character, so I give each one a name.
