Our Virtual Greenhouse will not be available this year due to heating issues, but we’re leaving the page active so more people can learn about what the farm has to offer. It is our intention to be able to fire up the hothouse next year and get back to the business of growing starter plants for our Merry Gardens Farm community!

Let’s build a community of gardeners with a commitment to organic growing practices right from the start, from potting soil to seed selection! Our Virtual Greenhouse includes the vegetables basic to most household diets and our northern growing climate. Our array of flowers not only add beauty but are a natural way to attract beneficial insects and help insure ecological diversity. Whether you are growing vegetables in a section of your yard or in containers on your patio, everyone can grow their own food! Order single plants by the pot and ready-to-go 4 packs for the custom garden you imagine.

Step 1 - Order | Order your plants from the selection below. Our deadline for ordering is April 16.

Step 2 - Pick Up at Merry Gardens Farm May 28-29 10 am-7 pm | It’s an opportunity to visit the farm and pick up your nursery plants at the same time. We’re happy to show you around!

Recycling - We recycle the containers your plants come in! That’s why you may see containers that look a little worn, but we know the plants don’t care and we care about the environment, so a win-win all around! We will happily take them back to be reused next year … and hopefully many years to come.

Would you like to see some other varieties? We know not everyone is set up to grow early nursery plants. We can help! If you have a seed variety that is organic or non gmo, we are happy to talk about growing those out for you and what you can add to the virtual greenhouse offering for our Merry Gardens community. Email us about it, include the variety/plant type and seed source.

Note

Note: I spend a lot of time in the garden - 25+ years worth - and have found that plant people have personalities just like human people. Many of them are some of my favorite people. I have included my impressions in the descriptions just for fun.
