Lettuces & Greens
Available June through September, our first abundant crop and garden fresh for restaurant patrons and other food service customers. Most popular are our romaine, red leaf, salad mix, spinach, chard, kale, arugula, and leafy mustard.
Our herbs are fast growers as well. We grow basil varieties, cilantro, parsley, cutting celery, sage, oregano, rosemary, mint, and thyme, with other herbs as our gardens and curiosities permit.
Our dear Easter egg radishes are the first to push their green tops through the soil. Expect them as early as the lettuces. Carrots and a variety of white, gold, chioggia, and red beets keep us busy mid season into fall harvest. Turnips, rutabaga, and potatoes round out our below ground crop.
Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage - we focus on these most popular vegetables. Look for a variety in the cauliflower and cabbage. New colors and even a few interesting shapes have become available to growers.
Along with the greens, roots, and brassicas, our gardens grow everybody's favorites: corn on the cob, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, winter squash, pumpkin ... scroll the photos below to see what happens out there every summer!
